To Be Victorious in Life

Monday, June 1st, 2009

I am starting things off differently today, with a daily affirmation.  I don’t usually do this - or post these - but this one is special as it comes courtesy of our good friend, Jill, the Duchess, whom you’ve seen mentioned several times on this site. Jill is launching her new seminar for women today, Duchess Wealth Intensive: Thirty Days to a Balanced Reign.  Her primary goal is to help women get in touch with what truly makes them happy.  A simple enough concept, right?  So, let’s do it, already.  And in the spirit of camaraderie, I offer you a little nugget (via Jill) to get you through the day (or at least the afternoon).  The following excerpt is from Paramahansa Yogananda’s book, To Be Victorious in Life.  Paramahansa Yogananda is the author of Autobiography of a Yogi and the founder of the Self-Realization Fellowship.

“If there is a devil, that devil is ‘I can’t do it.’ That is the satan that has disconnected your dynamo of eternal power; it is the main reason you do not succeed in life. Throw that demon out of your consciousness by your indomitable conviction: ‘I CAN do it!’ Mean it, and affirm it as often as you can. Mentally believe it, and energize that belief by action on it and will power. Work! And while you work, never give up the thought, ‘I can do it!
