Our Experts:

Dr. Joanne Kaufman:  A licensed psychologist based in South Florida, Joanne graduated from Barnard College of Columbia University and earned a Masters in social work from Hunter College in NYC.  After learning that changing the world was a lot harder than it looked, she returned to graduate school and got a doctorate in psychology from Nova Southeastern. She currently works as a psychologist in the Miami-Dade County Public School system, working with emotionally disturbed kids, and in a private practice.  She’s worked with many client types, in a clinic for alcohol dependents, with post-hospitalized clients, in pain and rehab centers, doing individual, group, and couples therapy.  Joanne also helps people develop a cushion for the inevitable changes and stresses of life, for change is the rule, not the exception.

Dr. Carrie Nelson: Dr. Nelson has been a Practicing Family Physician since 1992.  She strives to serve the needs of her patients both individually and collectively through her involvement in local and national initiatives to enhance the safety and quality of the healthcare system.  As such, she is dedicated to deepening the understanding of how patients and their heallthcare team can effectively partner with one another to achieve good health.  Dr. Nelson is Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at Rush Medical College, Board member of the Illinois Academy of Family Physicians and Member of the Commission on Science and Health of the Public for the American Academy of Family Physicians.  Carrie is a divorced mother of three boys who gratefullly and successfully co-parents her sons with their father.

Coach Deborah Bailey: As a Life & Career Coach, Deborah guides women as they discover who they want to be for the rest of their lives.  Deb is a blogger at Women for Hire, a regular contributor to Women&Biz magazine and the host of “Women Entrepreneurs - The Secrets of Success” on Blog Talk Radio. She holds degrees in English from Douglass College and Advertising & Communications from the Fashion Institute of Technology and has over 20 years experience in the corporate world, working in companies such as AT&T, Lucent and Johnson & Johnson. After having experienced various life and career transitions, she draws on her experience to  work with her coaching clients by providing accountability, motivation and support as they create positive and powerful changes in their lives.
